At fourteen Claudia Lowery heard her first Bob Dylan song "Gates of Eden" and the inspiration generated a an outlet for self-expression. For almost a decade free verse poetry flowed. Eventually she began writing articles and commentary for the Grand Prairie Daily News, part of Dallas/Fort Worth Suburban Newspaper. Published also by a Christian Women's magazine, various newsletters, and other small projects like programs for church and Bible studies she began to branch out over time into areas that held other interests. While Claudia was showing at a local art gallery she met the owners (Tracy Evans and Gary Krell) of an East Texas entertainment magazine called Piney Woods Live. After introductions and accepting an offer to write for the publication Claudia wrote articles for two years on a variety of subjects including local artists, musicians, photographers and even had a monthly column titled Center Stage Cuisine reviewing restaurants across the area. Creative writing is still her love so currently she is pursuing that interest as she prepares to assemble a collection of some of her best and favorite work from over 40 years of writing. Claudia is available for consultation, private composition and letter writing, editing and reviews.
